@dominic: I agree with Cristiano. You’d be amazed how non-picky a lot of people are. Pizza is okay too, but I was complaining more about the cold pizza. I understand that it’s tricky getting food for so many people, but cold pizza just shouldn’t be happening.

@Richard: Everybody’s cool enough for BarCamp. And judging by your Flickr photos, I’d think you’d enjoy some of the photography sessions.

@Colin: Charity donation seems like a good idea, but I’m wondering how that will work in reality. Does that mean everyone has to pay beforehand with Paypal? I see the benefit of having a donation, but I’m not sure of the actual execution.

@dominic as an organizer of the London Geek Dinners, you would be surprised how non-picky people actually are when it comes to food. Thai food seems to be ok, as long as there is some veggie/vegan options, hummus seems to be fine too, and then at Mashed we had (yes you guessed it right) mashed and pie.

Nice write up Melinda. I also found it really hard to choose which session to go to and then missed some really cool ones where the title didn’t let you know enough about the content (tentacle sex aside…”tentacle” in Google and 2/3 top results are sex-related, who’d have known?).

Charity donation for the no shows? Gets my vote and I have berated those that didn’t show. I am sorry to all the people who rocked up to my chat only for me not to show on Sunday due to family commitments. Sorry all – should have planned my weekend better.

So how come my “startup f*ck ups” didn’t appeal to you?

Nice Write Up , I enjoyed Barcamp London a lot (more than barcamp brighton but not as much as Barcamp Leeds (obviously!))

As an organiser, we choose pizza because… well people are too picky about everything else, people don’t like curry, chips, sausages and the majority always like pizza (although you always provide an alternative)

I like that your picture shows my session (which in the end I called Diagnosis Murder 101)..

Was fun meeting you again and hope you remember my name this time
