Great review of BCL7. The event itself was incredibly well organised by the BarCamp crew. We were asked to provide the WiFi for the weekend which a lot of people seemed to use and enjoy. We met lots of really interesting people and are looking forward to meeting up with them again at other events.

Some of the attendees have asked us how we provided the WiFi and what equipment we used. There is now a blog posting up at http://bit.ly/21A9ok that answers these questions.

I really enjoyed reading your account of running a BarCamp Mel. Many thanks to you, and all the other crew members that made BCL7 such a success!

Hi Melinda,
Just a note to let you know I read your blog and found it interesting and entertaining. Although I have yet to attend a barcamp my son is addicted to them. He now travels the length and breadth of England to participate. He keeps trying to persuade me to join him and I'm sure I will be tempted soon. I had decided Manchester would be a good start (Manchester being much closer to home and tickets were more freely available) but unfortunately it clashes with prior arrangements. Seeing the London event from your side and his has definitely convinced me I should give Barcamping a go. So who knows, we may bump into each other some day. till then keep up the good work. Mick Cunningham.
PS My son is Martin Cunningham, ( Martin_88) you have used some of his photos in your article above!

Every single bit of feedback I've heard has been stellar - I can only tip my hat to all of you for the fantastic work, even though I only heard second-hand.

Having organised a fair number of events too, I absolutely appreciated the stress, excitement, exhaustion, frustration and adrenaline that comes with each of the different stages of planning and running an event like this.

Good work, you guys should be truly proud :)

...and here was me thinking it was hard work just getting up early on a Sunday to go to BarCamp!

Seriously, it was an amazing BarCamp. All of you put in so much hard work and it really showed. Certainly one of the best run and well attended 'camps I've been to. I'm only sorry that I was only able to make the one day.

So glad that Vodafone were able to sponsor the evening's fun and games - even if I did miss out on them :-(

You guys deserve all the Whuffie there is - and a holiday. So - when do you start planning for the next one? :-)
