By now you should know I love Annie Leibovitz’s photography. I just recently discovered these two photo spreads picturing the Wizard of Oz and Hitchcock movies. The first set is from December 2005 and features Keira Knightley as Dorothy Gale. If you want to see all the images, take a look at the slideshow.
The second set just came out this week and features a wide collection of current day actors posing in iconic Hitchcock scenes. I love these two with Jodie Foster in The Birds and Marion Cotillard in Psycho. Check out FirstShowing for more Hitchcock.
Update: Apparently though they are not from Annie Leibovitz. (I misread the other article). Still they are beautiful photos.

Well. What is there to say about Annie Liebowitz? Always imaginative. Always current. Always worth looking at.
Thanks for the post.
By the way I think the second shot should be called “Gone with the wind”

Keira’s dress isn’t even blue lite the one in the movie…it would have been better if it had of…and the lion needed to look a little more realistic – he just looked like a random person…

Are you serious? The last two photographs ARE not Annie Leibovitz’s work. You might want to fact check before you post ridiculous things.

I too love the Wizard of Oz pictures. I am a liberal arts student in Chicago. I am from Kansas City, Missouri. Since most people dont understand that Kansas CIty is actually a big place and that most of it in Missouri. It is even MORE difficult to explain to explain that it is on the border and actually is a part of Kansas also. So now I tell people “I am from the land of Oz.” I also noticed that the maps of the land of Oz that the Emerald City sits on the border of two regions. Its only logical that Kansas CIty is the Emerald City and NOT Seattle. I am very much into this because I am now making the “Oz” theme for my art and self image as an artist. I appreciate these photos! Love them! Thank you. I have never seen these.
