If you thought the Beverly Hills series couldn’t get any worse, guess again. Here’s the poster for the upcoming movie:
I wish I could tell you this was all a joke, but from what I can gather it’s a real movie coming out next year. The plot outline of Beverly Hills Chihuahua on IMDB is:
While on vacation in Mexico, Chloe, a ritzy Beverly Hills chihuahua, finds herself lost and in need of assistance in order to get back home.
Chloe will be voiced by Drew Barrymore and her owner will be played by Jamie Lee Curtis. Other voice talents will include Salma Hayek, Edward James Olmos and Andy Garcia.
Right…so judging by the poster somehow this dainty little chihuahua ends up in a Aztec tribe of chihuahuas? And they’ve got temples with chihuahua figures on them? And the tagline is The chihuahuas will rise? The worst thing on this poster though? The chee’ WOW wa under the title.
Seriously?

I saw the trailer and to be honest it sucks. It begins with images from Peru, and parts of Mexico…. Hello? Has anyone taken a look at the fact that these are two different cultures?
This is an absolute insult to these cultures and then we ask our children why they don’t know about general culture…
This movie is going straight to DVD. I hope that whoever had this idea get bitten by a cobra and dies instantly.

aww the main two chihuahuas looks just like my dogs jake and gracie! i don’t care how retarted it is, im gonna see it.and i don’t know why everyone is so pissed off at this movie, there has been ALOT worse made or in the making.

I am so excited that is movie is coming out! For those of us who own such WONDERFUL dogs we GET the idea behind the movie and for those of you who have not been so blessed to be LOVED by such a small and wonderful dog you will NEVER get the idea behind this movie! It’s nice to see something like this coming out instead of all the blood and guts and killing movies out there which I could CARE LESS about! REFRESHING…I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE TO COME OUT and I will BUY it when it’s released onto DVD too!

Well, this does seem like a silly movie, but if with no intention to offend, doesn’t Disney do much of that? Well, I mean to say that most of Disney’s movies are for kids.
Anyway, I will be watching, what gets my attention is the cast they have for this movie… and I LOVE my chis!

Hi from Spain… I understand why there are people that don´t really like this movie. It´s because of the dogs. I didn´t like chihuahuas until a met CHULO, a friend´s chihuahuas, He is so sweet, friendly… everyone loves him. My friend couldn´t keep him and know he is so nice sleeping by my side as I write this lines. Recently I have met severly chihuahuas and most of them are very nice.

It’s not about the chihuahuas. If they had done it with any other dog type or cats or guinea pigs or any other creature, it would still look bad. It’s the fact they’re featuring dancing animals in an Aztec setting. Sorry, but that’s just plain silly.
I’ve read a review of this movie though, and while it’s not a “great” movie, it is pretty funny. Strangely enough, the girl dog behind the main dog featured so prominently in the poster is actually the main character. Plus that Aztec thing? Only a couple minutes of the film. It’s as if they created a poster and trailer for a complete other movie!

i think this movie looks GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i’ll love any movie with animals in it,and i just adore chihuahuas they are my life i just love them and i even have a chihuahua of my own some people say they are snappy how ever having one from a pup and raising it and handling it the chihuahua turns out to be a lovely dog and one that i would reconmend to anyone.
