I had to cancel our trip to the V&A Cold War Modern exhibition yesterday. There were too many other events going on, and there just weren’t enough people available to make it. Cristiano and I had planned to go this afternoon instead, but completely forgot about it. We’ll have to go some time after our trip to the Netherlands for Christmas, but with us coming back on the 5th and the exhibition ending on the 11th finding another date might be tricky.

Thanks to 1000heads though I had gotten some more free tickets to the Cold War Modern exhibition, so I’m giving 2 x 2 tickets away here on this blog as Christmas presents!

All you have to do is leave a comment behind here with what your favourite Miss Geeky post was this past year. Entries must be left behind before Wednesday 14:00 and is open for UK residents only. I’ll email the winners on Wednesday afternoon.

Update: The contest is now closed and the winners have been notified.

The one with the squirrels!

Or the barcamp/conference recaps. Perhaps the pixar mashup trailers too. Ack, I can’t decide..

I haven’t been a follower until a few weeks ago, but looking back I like the look of “A coffee with a smile” – http://missgeeky.com/2008/10/23/a-coffee-with-a-smile/

As a coffee fan, I’m going to be requesting these in my Xmas stocking!

I have to agree with Dan about the “smiley cups” (strangely, that was also the nickname of a girl on my course at uni).

Second would have to be the links to the videos of Sarah Silverman and Matt Damon “on the bed, on the floor, on a towel by the door” back in Feb (http://missgeeky.com/2008/02/29/a-video-a-day-sarah-jimmy-matt-and-ben/)… and of course the follow-up video.

Oh. Unfortunately the videos have been removed from utube by the TV company… now let me think… in what way has that action increased the revenue of the media owner? none. in what way has that reduced their free publicity? some. Doh.

Just to correct my last comment: I think it was your via-amazon revenue link that was stopping the videos being played – you can still watch them at: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=BPbvjYaUZHU and http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=j_pFTAY7MF8

OK, the blog that I found most engaging was the avatar post as I went off and made one too (can be seen on friendfeed). Generally I admire all the work you put into building community among geeks. I should trust you and go find out just how good this exhibition is for myself :-)

When is ticket to be used?

and now I see them, I can’t help wondering whether those smiley half missing cups would fall over very easily in morning clumsiness ;-)
