Episode 72: “… it’s mind boggingly detailed”

I haven’t played the Tomb Raider games for a while now, but this one looks pretty cool. This ‘Beneath The Surface’ video debuted last week at E3 and I can’t wait to see the real trailer.

Episode 71: “Shoes, shoes, shoes”

Just as a reminder: today’s the last day Dr Horrible is still available on ze itnernetz. Keeping with that topic, I found a dancing and singing Neil Patrick Harris as the Shoe Fairy in Sesame Street. I couldn’t embed it here though, so you’ll have to head on over to YouTube to check it out.

Episode 70: “The future belongs not to those who wait…”

I’m addicted to the Final Fantasy games and seeing this new trailer just makes me more excited for the newest addition. Now all I need is a Playstation 3 or an Xbox 360…

Btw, if you want, there’s another lower quality version of this video with subtitles.

Episode 69: “Penguins that went by the door”

I love these guest appearance on Sesame Street! First James Blunt, now Feist. While not as funny as Blunt’s My Triangle, it’s still pretty good:

Episode 68: “Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow.”

Remember that funny animated cat video from a few months back? Since then the creator has made two more just a cute animations. They both remind so much of my own cat!

Episode 67: “We deserve fans, man”

I hate trailers that give too much away and if possible, would rather forgo them completely. That’s why I love these type of promotional videos for movies; they show the spirit of the movie without spoiling anything (the Wall-E and the vacuum cleaner/magnet/etc set is another good example). The video shows Hellboy (the titular character of the upcoming movie) and Chuck (from the tv show Chuck) together playing a video game:

I love how they combine these two worlds! There’s also a second one:

Episode 66: “Their intelligence is an intrinsic reason as to why you’re supposed to find them interesting”

Back in May I linked to a write-up of a talk from Neal Stephenson called “The Fork: Science Fiction versus Mundane Culture”. What I didn’t know then was that the whole talk was actually filmed and is available to watch online. The whole talk is about 40 minutes, but it’s definitely worth listening to:

Episode 65: “The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures (translated from Bengali)”

I get a smile on my face everytime I see this video. Matt Harding spent 14 months visiting 42 countries to create this video that features him dancing this silly dance in all the places he has visited. In 2003 and 2006 he previously did the same project and even then the result was cool. The difference of this video is, that Matt invited people to dance with him and the result is just heartwarming:

Where the Hell is Matt? (2008) from Matthew Harding on Vimeo.

Part of what makes it work though is the choice of music (Praan by Garry Schyman); this so going on my list of getting-out-of-a-dip music. This video and all the previous ones can be found on WhereTheHellIsMatt.com.

Episode 64: “We need some time to talk”

I love me some Doctor Who! So here’s some more lovely David Tennant:

Episode 63: “They drift for hundred’s of miles…”

I love Lee Pace ever since seeing him in Wonderfalls (a vastly underrated series, btw) and I’m so happy Pushing Daisies is giving him his great break. He starred last year in this short film (or is it a long ad?) calling attention to the plight of the polar bears:
