I’m a major addict to the Final Fantasy games, and I’ve been waiting for the latest addition to the series for ages now. The main reason I still haven’t gotten a PS3 is because FF-XIII isn’t out yet, and I think that would be the game I’d primarily play on it (even though there are many more awesome titles out there, I just know I don’t have the time to get addicted to yet another series). So I’ve been waiting, and waiting until FF-XIII comes out to finally give me a reason to buy a PS3.

Anyhow, in Japan it was just announced that Sony is bringing out a limited edition PS3: the Final Fantasy Lightning Edition. Lightning is the main protagonist in the game, and she herself is printed in pink on the chassis of the PS3. Yep, pink…

I like how this looks like, even though I’m not much a fan of pink. I would have loved to see in this other colours, but despite the pink, I have to admit it looks pretty sleek.

It’s got a HDD space of 250 GB and ships with a version of FF-XIII. In Japan it’s priced at 41600 Yen (around the £280), but I wonder how much it’s going to be here (if it even is released here).

I’ve been a huge fan of Eric Tan’s work ever since I saw his retro posters of Ratatouille (at least I think those were the first ones I saw from him). These two new posters of his of Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid are just gorgeous:

I so want framed versions of these! I was 6 when The Little Mermaid came out, and I still have a very memory of actually going to the cinema and seeing this (right down, to the where we were sitting in the cinema and the layout and feel of the chairs in that cinema).

The two posters are part of a book that will soon be released, The Art of Disney Princess. Several internal Disney artists were asked to give their own spin to some of the Disney princesses. I love what Tan came up with, and so want to know what the other interpretations are. Adding the book to my Christmas list…

Regular readers here know how much I love The Nightmare Before Christmas (and it’s almost that time of the year again that I can watch it a couple of times without it being too creepy… okay, maybe watching it more than twice in one month (even if Halloween is in that month) is a teeny bit creepy), so when I heard of a tNBC wedding cake?!? Wow:

According to one of the people at the wedding:

this is the cake that was at my cousins wedding i went to in California. it was such an awesome cake. it was really tall and i heard it cost $8,000.

Ouch! $8000 for a cake?!? Still it does look gorgeous!

I’ve got a major weakness for boots; if I hadn’t such weird difficulties with finding comfortable shoes, I could guarantee my entire house would be overflowing with boots (no, that’s not true. Given the choice between, let’s say, a Nintendo DS and a pair of boots, or even 12 new shiny books and a pair of boots, the boots won’t win.)

I blogged about the online store DUO Boots more than a year ago, but when I saw their latest collection I couldn’t resist writing about them again. Some of these boots are just sooo gorgeous! The great thing about DUO though is that they offer calf-fitted boots. So besides just giving your foot size, you also get to specify your calf width for the perfect fit.

They’ve got loads more different styles (and flat shoes too) on the DUOboots website. I still can’t decide which pair I should get for myself; I’d love one of the more ‘funkier’ ones, like the turquoise Madeira or the red Mallorca, but I don’t think I have enough clothes that will fit with these. The more practical me is saying to go for the Jesolo: a simple black silhouette plus not a too thin heel. Which pair are your favourites?

Even though I’m very much a “child of the digital age”, I still am addicted to my old style paper notebooks. Most of my longer blog posts are all written down first without ever touching a computer. I’m somehow much more able to structure things properly when I’m just scribbling, crossing things out, and drawing things  out on paper.

So when I saw these notebooks, I just swooned:
