TeeFury has another TwoFury Battle! This time it’s Daft Punk versus Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy. I love both designs, but I think the Daft Punk one is my favourite!

Currently the Daft Punk is winning almost twice as many sales. Both designs are only available for the next 10 hours from TeeFury. Which one would you choose?

Have you decided yet on what to wear for Halloween? I’m still trying to come up with a couple of outfits to show on MissGeeky, but in my quest of finding the right pieces I came across these awesome horrific shoes:

These pumps would be great for a ton of Halloween outfits: zombie bride, Carrie, serial killer nurse, female Dexter, what would you wear them with?

It’s 10 days till Halloween! To make things a bit interesting around here I thought I’d do 10 days of 10 Halloween related posts.

Lush always does some great limited edition Halloween items and this time around they’ve got the awesome Jacko ballistic:

It smells like clove and cardamom! I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love those wintery type of smells.

Jacko is available at Lush.co.uk for £3.50.

I love Threadless t-shirts. I’ve got so many of them now that I’ve forced myself to stop buying them, especially cause I don’t actually tend to wear t-shirts that often anymore. I still love their designs though, and these new Disney Villains ones are gorgeous enough to make me want to break my non-buying ban!

In June/July of this year Threadless held a design challenge for people to design a tee based on the Disney Villains. Just like the Disney Princesses these don’t contain all the villains that appear in the Disney movies, just the most prominent ones (hmmm, maybe not even the most prominent ones, I’d say the ones that are most obviously “evil”). Threadless has now published the results of that challenge, and they’ll be selling 15 (!!) tees based on some awesome designs.

Magnificent Maleficent

Queen of Dragons

I always like it when artists give their own spin to a something: these Western re-imagined Justice League members from deviantart artist denism79 are just awesome!

Me Wantz: Nerd Alert Designs

September 4th, 2012

I’m really liking these dress designs from etsy store Nerd Alert Designs. Some of them I can imagine just wearing any day, but a couple are definitely more costumey and aimed at the cosplayer crowd. They’re still awesome designs though!

Cocktail Hour on the Death Star – $90

This is my favourite design; the cut of the dress looks great plus the little Darth Vader helmets look so cute!

Rainbow Brite dress – $90

I don’t actually remember ever watching Rainbow Brite, but I did use to have a View-master reel of it, which I loved. This dress is just adorable:

You ARTOO Cute In This Dress- $90

Another adorable dress! The belt isn’t included, but it fits perfectly.

The star of the BLOCK party – $90

I only wish the colours of this dress were a bit more vibrant.

The Unbirthday Dress – $90

You can’t really see the details in this photo, but the skirt consist of text from Alice in Wonderland with illustrations from it lining the bottom (see this photo for a closeup).

The Ash dress – $125

I love this dress! There’s a pocket on the left side dress turning your hand instantly into a CHAINSAW hand!

Ewok Dress – $150

Not something I’d consider wearing, but it does look great.

Yesterday I attended the first day of the UK Cinema Showcase, previewing some upcoming movies. I’d been stuck in the cinema for most of the day, so hadn’t realized that just around the corner the Piccadilly Circus Circus was going on. For the entire day (well, from 1pm on) Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street and Piccadilly Street had 143 circus performances of 48 different acts by 33 companies with 247 performers!

I got out the cinema at about 8pm and thought I could take the tube from Piccadilly Circus; I had no idea what I was walking into. There was a huge crowd around Piccadilly Circus and music was playing loudly. I initially didn’t understand what was going on until I looked up: above the square there were several zipwire lines and people dressed as angels doing acrobatic acts. This video gives a good idea of some of the bits I saw:

The finale though was the most amazing! They’d already released some feathers during the performance, but in the finale they went all out: tons of feathers got thrown over the crowd and burst from canons on the side. It was just raining feathers everywhere. And to be in the middle of it all was so surreal:

I now really wished I had seen more of the performances during the day. But experiencing that finale? WOW.

This jumper is just awesome:

I like how it doesn’t look too cheesy; I can easily imagine myself wearing something like this. I love how the stars are on the arms and the back:

If you know how to knit, the guide on how to make it is up on Ravelry. Anyone want to make this for me?

Wow, I hadn’t expected not to blog the past six days! I went on a last minute trip last Thursday to Berlin to help out with the Think Big workshop at Campus Party, which was a lot of fun, but it didn’t leave me a lot of time or connectivity to update this blog (or Twitter).

Since last year I’ve started collecting Starbucks mugs from all the places I visit. I’m still trying to retroactively get the mugs from places I’ve already been to (Australia, Indonesia, Egypt/Cairo, Italy/Rome, Paris/France, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Austria, San Francisco), but it’s quite tricky getting your hands on them if you’re not actually in that country.

So I was quite happy to get the Berlin and Germany ones while I was there:

My collection is growing! I’ve now got: London, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Austin, Houston and now Berlin and Germany. The obvious one I’m still missing is the England mug, but each time I’m at a Starbucks I can’t be bothered to drag it with me.
