Me Wantz: 3D Model Tights
I’ve written about the etsy store tattoosocks in the past (see the past two posts) and I love their latest collection!
My favourite is this pair of 3D model tights! Don’t they look awesome?
The tights are available for £18.35. Here are a couple more of my favourites:
Video of The Day: Power/Rangers
This came out a week ago, so chances are you’ve seen it already, but I couldn’t resist reposting it here! It’s so good:
Book Lust: Symbiont by Mira Grant
Long time readers here will know I’m a huge fan of Mira Grant/Seanan McGuire’s books, so obviously I’m curious to the next part of her Parisitology series, Symbiont. I really enjoyed the first book Parasite (although I thought the ending of that one was a bit predictable). Grant does some great world building, giving us a near future that seems possible, yet slightly weird.
Here’s the description from Amazon:
The SymboGen-designed parasites were created to relieve humanity of disease and sickness. But the implants in the majority of the world’s population began attacking their hosts, turning them into a ravenous horde.
Now those who do not appear to be afflicted are being gathered for quarantine as panic spreads, but Sal and her companions must discover how the parasites are taking over their hosts, what their eventual goal is and how they can be stopped.
It’s available for £6.29 from Amazon.co.uk and $14.11 from Amazon.com.
Cool Stuff: The Habit Journal
Exercise more. Drink more water. Eat more fruit. Don’t forget to floss. Drink less coffee. Every other month or so it occurs to me that I should try to be more healthier and keep up with some good habits. And most of the time I fail miserably.
I’ve tried several apps that do this sort of thing, but most of them aren’t very flexible. Timeful so far has been the most motivating for me, but the habits aren’t the main focus of the app. It’s great for scheduling and finding time to keep up those habits, but doesn’t really deal with keeping tracking and stats about them.
I love the idea of this Kickstarter project though: the Habit Journal, a simple daily journal for recording, measuring and applying lasting habits to help you achieve any goal. Here’s the Kickstarter video:
I’m addicted to notebooks and I think this could work great for me! The project is fully backed already and it’s only £15 to get a journal.
Dress of The Day: Navy Damask Print
Yesterday I realised it’s only 3 months till our wedding! There’s still quite a bit to plan, but I’m so excited for it. Hopefully I’ll have time to blog about some of the fun stuff I’ve come across in the upcoming weeks!
Since we’re getting married in Delft, we thought it would be cool to base our colour scheme on the Delft Blue pottery. This navy damask dress from Closet (£55) so reminds me of that:
I was planning to have the bridesmaids in slightly different shades of blue, rather than full on flowery print, but I do love the above dress!
Video of The Day: 10x10x10
It’s been 4 months since Emma Watson did her awesome He For She speech and it’s great to see this followup video about 10x10x10:
Me Wantz: Happy Sloth Necklace
This necklace is so adorable:
You can get for £33.45 from the marymaryhandmade Etsy store. Here are a couple of my other favourites from the same store (Chinchilla, Little Fox, Manatee, Platypus):
Tee-rrific: Guardian’s Delivery Service
So I realize I pretty much have a weak spot for any t-shirt designs mashing up Studio Ghibli movies with any-other-geeky-property. The one I currently really want? The Guardian’s Delivery Service:
It’s on sale (today only!) at TeeFury as part of their battle, but it’s loosing against Galaxy Forest Conservation Program:
Which one is your favourite?
